I love winter weddings in Florida. And this gorgeous wedding coordinated by Brittany Eagans and the BeWed team at the Ringling Museum of Art did not disappoint! Deep, dramatic tones of navy, burgundy and gold were incorporated throughout every last detail of this February wedding. As I was setting up the cake on site, the museum was still open and people walking by couldn’t believe my sugar flowers weren’t real. Even the uber talented florists from Flowers by Fudgie had to take a step closer to confirm that they were sugar. I have to say, this made me so happy!!

We’re so lucky to be able to have winter weddings outdoors in Sarasota, when the days are sunny but not too hot, and the evenings are clear, without a trace of the usual Florida humidity. A perfect evening, dancing under the stars, celebrating this wonderful couple..

Every cake tells a story, and this is Sara and Reed’s:
